I am pleased to announce that Council met on the night of 22nd July 2020 and appointed Ms Laura DWYER to take up the vacant position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shire commencing 14th September 2020 for a three (3) year term.

Ms Dwyer has a long family background in local government at the Shire of Menzies with her mother and father both being elected to the Council over the years and also both serving as President

Laura currently works at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and has also held the position of Executive Manager at the Shire of Coolgardie. During her time at Coolgardie she also acted as CEO whilst the incumbent was on leave.

She will bring fresh enthusiasm and vitality to the Shire and I am sure looks forward to meeting everybody and working closely with all Agencies and businesses in the Shire
Myself, elected Members and staff of the Shire of Wiluna look forward to working with Laura and wish her the very best over the next 3 years.
